Runway Makeover
Construction crews are laying a portion of the north end of the runway at Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. This is but one piece of a larger project that the 140th Wing, Colorado National Guard, is performing during runway construction on its main runway on Buckley AFB. Each end of the runway is receiving significant and much needed runway repairs. This multi-million dollar project is helping to finally address many issues with the concrete and aircraft arresting systems, while also putting many construction employees in the area to work.
