ACE Preparing for take off
U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Benjamin "Scrappy" Couchman, pilot, 120th Fighter Squadron, 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard, performs final checks prior to take off during an Agile Combat Employment exercise, Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, Colorado, July 28, 2020. This Agile Combat Employment wartime scenario is designed to train maintenance, fuels and security forces personnel to deploy with equipment to a simulated remote airstrip in order to rearm F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, and then quickly depart. The ACE exercise aims to increase the operational wartime readiness in order to create a more flexible and adaptable air force while increasing lethality in combat.
