Dachau

Survivor of Dachau Concentration Camp, Jack Adler, shares stories about his experiences with Maj. Ken Walsh, commander or the Army Aviation Support Facility, Colorado Army National Guard, prior to the commemorative ceremony for the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Dachau May 3. Members of these National Guard units participated in various ceremonies May 1-3, 2015 to honor the fallen and share the experience of the survivors and liberators. The 157th Infantry Regiment, one of the units that liberated the camp on April 29, 1945, initially mustered from the state of Colorado. The regiment was a subordinate unit to the 45th Infantry Division, initially formed in Oklahoma. (Air National Guard photo by Capt. Kinder Blacke)
