200th AS pilot sets world record
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. — When not flying a C-21A Learjet around the country with the 200th Airlift Squadron Colorado Air National Guard, Lt. Col. James Lawrence is flying around the Colorado Springs Velodrome. Lawrence trained tirelessly for a year before breaking the world record in the Flying 200 Meter Time Trial in the 45-49 age group, setting a world-record time of 10.713 seconds. (Courtesy photo)
