Civil Engineers and a Red Horse Unit are working together to install a BAK-12, Expeditionary Aircraft Arresting System on the main runway at Buckley Air Force Base. The temporary system must be installed prior to any construction taking place on the runway and so the permanent arresting systems can be upgraded. Senior Airman Jordan Deady, from the 200th RED HORSE Unit, Detachment 1, out of Mansfield, Ohio, ties down the covering for the barrier tape on the arresting system as other civil engineer crewmen adjust the braking system behind him.
