CE Teamwork
Civil Engineers and a Red Horse Unit are working together to install a BAK-12, Expeditionary Aircraft Arresting System on the main runway at Buckley Air Force Base. The temporary system must be installed prior to any construction taking place on the runway and so the permanent arresting systems can be upgraded. Senior Airman Jesus Martinez (near) from the 460th Space Warning Squadron, Staff Sgt. Alex Atkins (center) from the 140th Wing and Staff Sgt. Issac Strickler from the 200th Red Horse unit adjust the braking system of the BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting system as part of the installation process.
