Colorado Air National Guard 140th Security Forces Members Deploy

He and approximately 30 members from the 140th Security Forces Squadron, 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard, will deploy for six months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Buckley AFB, Colo. -- Approximately 30 security forces personnel assigned to the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard, Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, Colo., left Buckley at approximately 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning for the United States Central Command Area of Operations in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

The group of Citizen-Airmen will provide force protection for deployed personnel and assets. 

This will mark the seventh deployment of 140th Security Forces members during the past six years in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  The group will be away from their families and put their civilian occupations on hold for the next six months.
