GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- The Colorado National Guard Family Programs office has again teamed up with Santa to provide Christmas presents for CONG families in need.

The 2nd annual "Toys for Our Tiny Soldiers" is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Colorado National Guard Readiness Center in Grand Junction, Colo.

At the event, parents will be able to "shop" for their children, and wrap their gifts, all at no cost.

At a moment's notice, Colorado Guardsman may be asked to support our state and nation, which sometimes puts a heavy financial burden on their families. Because of these unique challenges associated with their military service, they may also face financial hardship.

A craft table and/or Christmas movies will be available to entertain the children while their parents shop. The event will be held at:

Grand Junction Readiness Center
2820 Riverside Parkway
Grand Junction, Colo., 81501

Toys were donated at different "Toy Box" locations around Grand Junction and Montrose, and the two local stores also donated gifts.
