ESGR Freedom Awards Nominations
Nov 3, 2014 - Jan 19, 2015
Our Nation's Guardsmen and Reservists are the best in the world! But they didn't get to be the best all by themselves. They are the best because of supportive people who stand behind them when our nation calls them to duty. In short, they need the support of friends, family and their civilian employer to ensure our Nation's defense. Since 1996, our great nation has been able to thank those supportive employers with the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, more commonly referred to as the "Freedom Award".
Nominations are accepted at www.FreedomAward.mil.
ANG Reenlistment Recognition Program
The Air National Guard recorded its highest loss numbers in over a decade and NGB is shifting their attention on retaining quality Airmen to meet mission needs. NGB announced the launch of the FY15 Reenlistment Recognition Program in an effort to retain these Airmen. This program is designed to commemorate an Airman's renewed commitment to serve in the Air National Guard. Airmen who reenlist for 3 years will receive a specially designed reenlistment coin signed by Lt Gen Stanley E. Clark III, Director, Air National Guard and CMSgt James W. Hotaling, Command Chief, Air National Guard. Airmen who reenlist for 6 years will be eligible to receive the reenlistment coin and Air National Guard ABU backpack.
