Chief Master Sergeant Lisa Perry is the Command Chief for the 140th Wing, Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, Colorado. As the Command Chief, she advises the wing commander on matters impacting the enlisted force such as proper utilization of personnel, quality of enlisted leadership, management/supervisor training, operations tempo and quality of life. Further, Chief Perry is responsible for monitoring compliance with Air National Guard and Air Force standards including those standards governing conduct, performance, appearance, and professional military education. She serves on advisory councils and works to insure a close relationship with the local community. Chief Perry maintains as liaison between the wing commander and enlisted force and staff members, and communicates with the wing commander on issues, concerns, and morale of the enlisted force. Also, Chief Perry serves as the functional manager for assigned 140th Wing First Sergeants and performs other duties as outlined and directed by the 140th Wing Commander.
CMSgt Perry began her military career by enlisting in the United States Air Force in July 1991 as an Information Management Specialist. While on Active Duty, she was stationed at Rhein-Main Air Base, Germany and Schriever AFB, Colorado. She joined the Colorado Air National Guard in January 1996, retraining into Materiel Management where she held several positions including Maintenance Customer Support Supervisor and Materiel Management Flight Superintendent. In 2007, Chief Perry changed careers fields again, as the Plans and Integration Superintendent she oversaw the strategic planning of four major campaign deployments and the successful execution of numerous MAJCOM exercises and inspections. Prior to assuming her role as the Wing Command Chief, she served as the Mission Support Group Superintendent overseeing more than 350 enlisted personnel whose primary purpose was to deliver organizational, personnel, and resource management advice, providing a mission-ready enlisted force ready to execute and support required garrison, expeditionary and domestic operations mission. She has deployed in support of Operations NORTHERN and SOUTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and THREAT SECURITY PACKAGE/PACAF.
