U.S. Air Force Maj. Perry Jefferson's name is etched into the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, D.C. Jefferson, an intelligence officer with Colorado Air National Guard's 120th Tactical Fighter Squadron, went missing in action in Vietnam April 3, 1969, while working as an aerial observer on board an O-1G Bird Dog aircraft over a mountainous region in Ninh Thuan Province. His remains were interred at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., April 3, 2008.
