179-Day Rule for Bonus Entitlements
Recruiting and retention received updated guidance that allows Air National Guard members to keep their bonuses when they pursue temp technician and/or temporary AGR. The guidance states, " Members may serve unlimited TEMPORARY Technician or TEMPORARY AGR tours without incentive implications. Incentives will NO LONGER BE TERMINATED for members serving on TEMPORARY Technician or TEMPORARY AGR tours." Crisis Text Line
The Crisis Text Line provides free, confidential, 24-hour counseling with more than 600 trained volunteer counselors around the world. Although the service has received little publicity, counselors have already exchanged more than 15 million messages with individuals in distress for a variety of issues to include sexual assault, suicide, eating disorders, stress, etc.
1. Text 741-741 from anywhere in the USA, anytime, about any type of crisis.
2. A live, trained Crisis Counselor receives the text and responds quickly.
3. The volunteer Crisis Counselor will help you move from a hot moment to a cool moment
Military Teen Adventure Camps
Military teens (14-18 years old of Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, and Retired personnel) will have an opportunity to participate in adventure camps scheduled May 2016 through February 2017 at little to no cost. These high energy, high adventure, and high experience camps are planned across the United States from Washington to New York and the states in between. This is the perfect chance for you to experience the outdoors as you never have before!
Each camp offers a unique outdoor experience that will allow you to build your leadership, self-confidence, and teamwork skills while engaging with the outdoors. Camps have funding available to assist with transportation costs.

Military Operations Area Expansion
Tune in here to find the latest information on the proposed expansion of the Cheyenne military operations area in eastern Colorado and western Kansas.
The F-16 flying window is Tues-Fri and one weekend per month throughout the year.
In the spring/summer/fall we fly between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm (from April (daylight savings) to October (daylight savings) and the same window during the month of December.
The F-16 flying window during the fall/winter/spring is between 12:00 pm and 10:00 pm from October (daylight savings) to April (daylight savings), except in December, when we fly during the day.
This schedule allows for all the pilots in the 140th Wing to stay proficient on day and night flying. We appreciate your patience, as we know the noise can be disruptive at times.
