Our predecessors have been in this business since 1923, when we began flying bi-planes from approximately what is now City Park in Denver. In 1946, our very own 120th Fighter Squadron became the first federally recognized ANG unit in the nation.

Throughout its history, our Wing has been involved in all major conflicts, to include the currently ongoing overseas contingency operations. On a daily basis, our men and women support three different operational missions including F-16 Combat Operations, Space-based Missile Warning and Detection, and C-21 Airlift Operations. We have personnel permanently assigned to Buckley AFB, Greeley ANGS, Peterson AFB, and Airburst Range near Ft. Carson. Our diverse, proud Wing maintains both a Federal and State militia heritage and capability, and is prepared to support our Nation, State and local Community in times of need.

Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or the desire to join this great Wing. Contact information can be found on the main web page. Also, take a look at the Featured Articles section for an update on the 140th Wing's latest missions and events and check out the Cougar Tales link for information about upcoming events and activities.

As the Commander of the 140th, it is an honor to serve with the best in the Air National Guard, right here in Denver, Colorado. Thank you for your interest in our Wing.

Col. Floyd Dunstan
