Staff Sergeant Melissa Bennett of the 140th Medical Squadron, Colorado Air National Guard, Aurora Colorado, helps prepare a simulated injured person for surgery. The medical squadron can see a wide assortment of injuries and must be ready to face the challenges of the unknown at all times. Mission: The 140th Medical Squadron's (MDS) primary peacetime mission is to serve as a clinic in support of the 140th Wing by providing physical examinations, immunizations, bioenvironmental engineering, and occupational health management programs. In addition, the 140th MDS also excels in Air Transportable Hospital mission taskings and a flight surgeon supports all wing deployments.
