COLONEL LOREN J. JOHNSON

Colonel Loren "Skip" Johnson is the Commander of the 137th Space Warning Squadron, Greeley Air National Guard Station, Colorado. He is responsible for formulating, developing and managing all policies, plans, programs, and operations of the 137th SWS.

The 137th SWS is home to the Mobile Defense Support Program Ground Station that detects, tracks, and identifies missile launches and nuclear detonations. Unit deploys mobile, combat-trained units on short notice to remote overseas and CONUS locations and survives and operates through all levels of conflict to provide warning and attack assessment data to surviving national command elements.

He is 24 year veteran and a mission ready Crew Commander. Colonel Johnson has more than 4500 hours of flight time and is a veteran of Operations Northern Watch and Provide Comfort.
