When Col. Barbara C. Morrow assumed command of the 140th Mission Support Group, 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard from Col. Gregory Parker, Brig. Gen. Trulan Eyre, 140th Wing Commander, said "days like today are truly days of mixed emotions."

"No matter what I do in the future or where I go, I will carry with me the knowledge and the memories of the time we spent together," said Parker in his final words to Airmen.

Parker relinquished command of the 140th Wing Mission Support Group into the hands of Col. Morrow in a ceremony here on June 5.

Morrow took the podium and addressed the members on her leadership styles, policies and plans for the future. She assured Col. Parker that the men and women of the 140th Mission Support Group would be well taken care of under her leadership.

She continued her speech by expressing her gratitude to Brig. Gen. Eyre for selecting her for the position.

Morrow, who has served as the Air National Guard advisor to the 460th Space Wing, an operational crew member of the 137th Space Warning Squadron, and the deputy commander of the 140th Medical Group will now be responsible for wing administration and mission support and the 1409 members in its subordinate units providing engineering and facilities, communication infrastructure, flight-line security, services, personnel and logistical support.

"I look forward to her enthusiasm and continued leadership," said Eyre.
