140th Wing Public Affairs

Public Affairs is the focal point for providing information on COANG 140th Wing issues, programs and base events to Airmen, the community and members of the news media. The staff conducts base tours, provides speakers for civic organizations in the community, publishes articles for the monthly CONG newsletter, "The High Ground," and is the commander's liaison between the wing and local media organizations. All media requests concerning people, programs and events must be coordinated through Public Affairs.
tabMedia Relations
Media Relations is one of the primary means for achieving the Public Affairs core competencies of Airman morale and readiness, public trust and support and global influence and deterrence.

The Media Relations section of Public Affairs produces news releases on newsworthy missions, programs and activities. We work with the news media to provide interviews, coordinate visits and to respond to queries. We seek every opportunity to tell the Colorado Air National Guard story by reaching the public through local, regional and national news media organizations.
tabCommunity Relations
Active community relations programs enable commanders to
enhance morale, public trust, and support. Guardsmen professionals involved in the communities where they live become front-line ambassadors for the National Guard.

The objective of community relations is to increase public awareness and understanding of the Colorado Air National Guard and the 140th Wing's mission. We support surrounding communities in all aspects, ranging from tour requests, volunteer requests or flyovers. Our goal is to foster positive relations with the surrounding communities.
tabInternal Information
Conducting internal information programs is the primary means Air Force leaders use to communicate with Airmen and their families. Timely, accurate, relevant information is a force multiplier that enhances Airman morale and readiness.

Through this website, the CONG High Ground, and various other information outlets, the 140th Wing leadership will be able to provide you with up-to-date news and information.
